What is the purpose of your ERG?
Fidelity Pride is a company-wide resource group open to all employees interested in the workplace experiences of our Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ+) community.
Our mission is to establish a safe space for every employee to bring their full, authentic selves to work, be a resource and provide education on/around the LGBTQ+ community, and contribute to the professional growth and career development of our members.
What activities, initiatives, and events do you host?
We recognize and celebrate international days such as World Pronouns Day, International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia and World Aids Day.
Each year, we celebrate June Pride Month which includes activities such as participating in Pride March, Virtual 5K Run, highly entertaining Yammer Posts while also aligning Enterprise-wide Pride Initiatives.
To further celebrate and raise awareness, we organize focus campaigns. An example of such was our #livedexperiences campaign. This was hugely insightful month long campaign where our Ireland associates shared their real-life experiences.
What successes, milestones, or achievements can you share with readers?
We had huge success and engagement in the International Days, Pride Month, Focused Campaigns mentioned above. We advocate the use of pronouns with a dedicated pronouns field in the Zoom settings. We distributed Pride Masks to all Ireland Employees. We have run many fun and interesting events including – Escape Rooms, Pride Radio Playlists, Treasure hunts, Quizzes, Bake offs, External speakers.

How do you connect across Fidelity?
We stay connected with associates through our ‘Pride ERG: Fidelity Pride Yammer’ social platform and weekly Ireland wide ‘Associate Connect’ updates. We use this to inform associates of upcoming events, have conversations, share knowledge, and create a sense of community.
